Coming Soon: River Science’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program
In the summer of 2026 River Science received the Youth Engagement Grant from Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) to establish a recognized pre-apprenticeship program by further developing our secondary curriculum and internship program as well as a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP). Our pre-apprenticeship will merge our current secondary education courses (Water Quality & Ecology and Hydrology & Watersheds) with our internship and job shadowing opportunities and will target students ages 16-18.
Coming Soon: River Science’s Registered Apprenticeship Program
River Science’s Registered Apprenticeship Program will be established by further developing our post-secondary trainings/courses and our partnerships established via our RiverCorps Program. This program will target youth ages 18-24.
River Science’s pre-apprenticeship will provide high school graduates with a pipeline to our RAP without requiring additional post-secondary schooling.
