River Corps Host Sites can help fill their watershed-health-related capacity needs with technically trained AmeriCorps members.

Our dedicated River Corps contribute to host-site projects through hands-on data collection, stakeholder engagement, restoration implementation, and watershed coordination
How Hosting Works: Host Site Partners utilize River Corps Members to help fill capacity needs for watershed health-related projects. Members begin their service term in February with comprehensive technical training, preparing them for hands-on field work and watershed coordination. In April, Members begin service with their Host Site, where they provide dedicated capacity to advance projects and support day-to-day watershed work through November.
Partner Requirements & Expectations: Host Site Partners provide Members with meaningful, mission-aligned work, appropriate supervision, and the workspace, equipment, and support needed to succeed. Partners are responsible for mileage, required reporting and evaluations, and meeting River Corps and AmeriCorps requirements.
Temporary Restoration Support: Flexible, short-term restoration support is available for specific projects and field needs. Services can include restoration implementation, monitoring, treatment enhancement or repair, and field logistics.
Benefits of Hosting: River Corps Members bring trained technical skills and dedicated capacity to help Host Sites move watershed projects forward. Members can support data collection, restoration, monitoring, project coordination, and other river-health activities while gaining valuable experience in the water sector.
2026 Host Sites
River Corps wouldn’t be possible without committed host site organizations and community partners who provide mentorship, project opportunities, and meaningful service placements. These partners span watershed collaboratives, conservation districts, government agencies, and nonprofits working to protect and improve Colorado’s rivers and watersheds.
Together, we work to enhance water data collection & access, strengthen restoration capacity, and engage community stakeholders in long-term stewardship.
Restoration Services
• Constructing BDAs, PALS, Zeedyk structures (one-rock dams, media luna, rock run down, etc.)
• Monitoring treatments, enhancing treatments, repairing treatments
