Our Impact:
Water Quality & Hydrology
Members collect field data that helps host organizations understand and manage Colorado's water resources — from streamflow measurements and cross-section surveys to water quality sampling and continuous water level monitoring. This work supports everything from routine watershed health tracking to emerging water quality concerns across the state.
Restoration (Low-Tech Process-Based Restoration)
Members implement hands-on restoration techniques designed to slow water, rebuild stream function, and support natural recovery — including Beaver Dam Analogs (BDAs), Post-Assisted Log Structures (PALS), Zeedyk rock structures, and revegetation efforts. These projects span watersheds across the state, done in partnership with host organizations working toward long-term river health.
Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Monitoring
Working alongside partners like Colorado Parks and Wildlife, members help protect Colorado's waterways from invasive species — sampling for threats like Zebra and Quagga Mussels and New Zealand Mudsnails, while educating boaters, anglers, and recreationists on prevention.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
Beyond fieldwork, members build the relationships that sustain watershed conservation long-term — through community outreach events, educational workshops, landowner and stakeholder coordination, and partner trainings that strengthen collaboration across Colorado's water sector.
